Use Yahoo Answers to increase internet traffic to your website AND build up your credibility. But beware - this should only be one part of your overall traffic building strategy. The 'link' back to your website will not be seen by Search Engines for ranking purposes
The main "Answers" website is Yahoo Answers.
You need to open and verify an account before you can answer any questions. Complete the Registration details, wait for the verification email and follow the instructions.
When you have done that, you need to find "questions" that you can answer. There are a couple of ways to do this:
Clicking on the "Browse Open Questions" button near the top of the page takes you to a list of question categories. Choose the best one for you. A list of questions appears in order of the most recent first. You will also see further sub-categories of questions to narrow your search.
When you clicked on the "Browse Open Questions" above, you will see a Search Bar followed by "Search Answers". Type in a keyword related to your niche. This will give you a list of questions, the most recent first. On the left you will see some more filtering options. For example, you can choose to see only open questions in the "Question Status" box.
Now you have your question, provide a meaningful and knowledgeable answer. Remember - you are not selling anything. You are giving advice. Further information may or may not be available on your website. If it is, provide a link to it using the following code:
<a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/relevant-page.html" rel="nofollow">link text eg the website address</a>
The website address should be the link text in case someone cannot click on the link.
Always give valuable, quality information as an answer and never see this as an opportunity purely to increase internet traffic. Your credibility and authority could be improved by being voted as 'best answer' so it is worth some thought! The use of the odd keyword will not go amiss - this will improve the chances of your answer being found on a search engine search.
